I can’t praise the book highly enough. It is so well written that I haven’t enjoyed reading a book this much for years. The facts are presented in amazing detail and all CDs are described with full track listings and scans. Any questions about reissues or variations are answered in full. It has brought back so many memories of collecting at the time, e.g. the excitement of a previously unissued track being released, wondering if there was any strategy regarding which CDs were issued, wondering if a CD seen in the shops was actually a UK issue etc. Congratulations to Gordon and John.

This absolutely brilliant piece of work is my new bible. John and
Gordon have left no stone unturned- all the bases have been covered. I also want to thank the authors for there outstanding work, especially with the first Elvis UK book. It’s more than a labour of love.
Am I the only female obsessed with these types of publications? Surely not.
I really found the history of the CD and background information very interesting. The tables and cross referencing are perfect. I’m now finding that the flipbook is so much easier on my new Android tablet. I was able to print the song table off – I’m a happy girl.
I had no idea that the stickers are collectable – who knew?
I wish there was a bookmark option like you find on other ebooks, I can’t remember where I left off! Yes I too will be rediscovering my CD collection. I’m also very keen to discover if I have any vinyl rarities, so I also purchased UK 1! And then UK 2! Holy smokes.
Well done guys, I do hope that UK4 will come along eventually, we still need minute detailed reviews of the FTD and the Sony legacy releases- maybe with other books like world of ftd and ultimate sessions there might be too much overlap? MRS ? Which i have also. Battery nearly flat – off to bible study. Stars not working 5 stars
